Las ruins of Machu Picchu focus the attention of thousands of tourists who visit Peru every month, but few know over the 32,500 hectares of the Historic and Natural Sanctuary also houses many archaeological sites and natural resources, as explained to Efe his boss, José Carlos Nieto

The Ministry of Culture, he said, "has been worth complexes near archaeological and have discovered new ways", while "the level of protection of flora and fauna has been increasing."

The authorities have noted that the largest influx of tourists to the area occurs in the morning and "in the afternoon the monument is a bit empty."
"We want that these new routes will join the late Inca place itself, that will help us to have evenly the number of visitors appreciate and allow other issues, beyond what is known in Machu Picchu as the natural, which is unique, because there converge Andean and Amazonian "he concluded.
